I lived beside a river
In a forest with a view
A weeping willow bowed its head
Touched the ground by the blue river
I used to swim beneath that tree
I woudn't feel the cold
If I did I didn't care

I remember the first day I saw them
moving concrete on the land I loved so much
Their hands sealed the living ground
like a tomb, by the blue river
I remember the strange feeling I had
I didn't know then what it was all about
